Description

In the Intro to Weather Unit Study, students will enjoy learning about the weather.  This web-based unit study covers weather basics like temperature, air pressure, precipitation, wind, fronts, isotherms, clouds, and different types of extreme weather like tornadoes, hurricanes, and snowstorms.

It also covers weather symbols and instruments, as well as a little weather map reading, and a whole lot more! 

This unit study engages students with videos, games, interactive websites, and fun projects as they learn about the weather.

The four modules will cover the following topics:

Module 1: Weather Intro: what is weather, air temperature, humidity, precipitation, etc.
Module 2: Weather Basics: weather symbols, isotherms, fronts, clouds, etc.
Module 3: Weather Tools: thermometer, barometer, anemometer, weather station map, etc.
Module 4: Extreme Weather: thunderstorms, tornadoes, drought, blizzards, etc.


Recommended age: 4th-8th grade

You will have access to this unit study for as long as you want! It can be used by all children in a family.
