Description

This web-based, self-paced Integumentary System Unit Study will engage students with videos, games, and hands-on activities to learn how and why our skeleton works.

The four modules will cover the following topics:

 

Module 1: Skin Anatomy
Module 2: Hair and Nails
Module 3: Healthy Skin
Module 4: Skin Injury/Disease

 

Activities will include watching videos, reading articles, playing games, and completing interesting projects. The projects will allow students to research topics and then present their research in a digital format–a poster, video, slideshow, etc.

The content in this study varies in difficulty so there’s something for everybody to learn, and the fun games and interesting facts help it appeal to a variety of ages.

Recommended age: 4th-8th grade

Each module will have a project for students to do and the best could win gift cards.

    This course was worthwhile. Not only was it informative but it was also fun. Because there were no deadlines I was able to take my time and really learn from this course. I learned about how the skin along with other parts of the integumentary system work.
